CHECK 2024 WAEC RESULTS USING SMARTPHONE | THE SMS METHOD

 After a long wait, the West African Examination Council (WAEC) has released the results of 2024 candidates on the 12th of August, 2024.

It was announced to the general public on that day via their official twitter account on X.


As it is in the photo above, WAEC said,

"The West African Examinations Council is pleased to inform candidates who sat WASSCE for school candidates, 2024 that the result has officially been released today, Monday, August 12, 2024."

For this post, we'll be concentrating on how to check WAEC Results via SMS.

To check one's WAEC Results via the SMS METHOD, there are Requirements and Steps to take. We'll consider these 2 understandably, along with some important tips to keep in mind in order to avoid issues or error message during the process.



Requirements For This Method


• A Mobile Phone you can use to send and receive SMS.

• A Functional SIM CARD (Preferably the one used during WAEC Registration).

• Your WAEC Registration/Examination Number.

• Your WAEC PIN (Also known as WAEC Result Token).

• Your Examination Year.

• ₦50 Airtime or more.



Steps To Checking Your Results Via SMS


• Open your SMS App using the device.

• Create a new message and type in the following details using the format carefully :

               WAECExaminationNumberResultPINExaminationYear

      Eg. WAEC4051438000567856785678562024

• Send the message to 32327 via SMS.

• A statement of your WAEC Results will be instantly sent to you via SMS.



Important Things To Note


• The process is not free as you'll be charged from your airtime balance.

• It is important to have at least ₦50 in your airtime balance so that WAEC can process your request.

• The WAEC Result SMS METHOD is only support by these Telecommunication Networks - MTN, Airtel & Glo. Any other network will most likely be unsuccessful.

• If under very rare circumstances, you don't receive your WAEC Results Statement, you'll have to repeat the process.

• The WAEC Result PIN/Token can be obtained from your WAEC Examination Card, which is usually shared during the Examination in some Centres. If you don't have your WAEC Examination Card, you'll have purchase a WAEC RESULTS TOKEN.
